Jewels to wear and jewels of pastry combined in Dolci Conversazioni ♦ ︎
Jewels to eat, jewelry to wear and jewelry to watch. If you go from Verona to the Arena and Juliet’s house, you can take a dip in the world of high-quality pastry combined with jewelery. The traveling exhibition Dolci Conversazioni, curated by Sonia Patrizia Catena, in collaboration with Ridefinire il Gioiello and the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani, offers ten works by designers of contemporary jewelery: research and experimental materials are the common denominator. But not only: the jewels are combined with temptations of the pastry, like the ironic macarons of Rita Martinez, the harmless patties hanging from Francesca Sansoni, the dark red of Fragiliadesign or the tasty and fresh watermelon-bracelet of Frilli Colombo, just to name a few . In this case they are worn, but it is better not to taste them.
The exhibition crosses four historic buildings of the Duetorrihotels group and now arrives for its third stage at the Due Torri Hotel in Verona (3 -15 May 2018).
To look closely, there are brooches, earrings, necklaces, rings, pendants and bracelets created by MICartapesta aka Michela Boschetto, Chimajarno, Elena dp Crea, Fragiliadesign, Frilli Colombo, Giuliana Kobayashi Mantovi, Rita Martinez Art Jewelry, Francesca R. Sansoni, Ag Art alias Agnese Taverna and Maria Tenore.
And to gratify the palate there are the desserts by Stefano Zizzola: Filì has a base in frolla sablée, cheesecake and mascarpone mousse that goes well with a creamy soft, with Yuzu and Zenzero, sponge cake with Tea Matcha. Plus a gold-colored filigree chocolate sphere, with a satin sugar pearl inside. Next meeting in Florence, at the Bernini Palace, from May 31st to June 30th, to coincide with Pitti Immagine Uomo.
