Annamaria Cammilli is the only Maison to offer gold jewelery with eight different shades.

There are those who bet everything on white gold, perhaps accompanied by a small diamond. There are those who expand the choice to the three classic colors of metal: yellow, pink and white. But only a Maison has expanded beyond these boundaries and has expanded the color palette of gold. With four? Nah. Five? Not even. Annamaria Cammilli had pushed herself up to seven colors of gold. Until yesterday. Because the brand from Florence has further expanded the color palette with Brown Chocolate. The colors of gold for which the brand is famous, in short, have become eight.

The nuances introduced over the years by Annamaria Cammilli range from sunrise yellow to champagne pink, up to black, through white and natural beige. Jewels and chocolate, the recipe of Le Vian

It is not true that diamonds are the true friends of women. Because true friends women have two: jewels and chocolate. Putting these two joys together would therefore be the best. And this is what the American brand Le Vian and the Belgian Godiva have come up with, who have collaborated for a new collection in view of Valentine’s Day. The combination is not accidental: Le Vian, in fact, is famous for the use of brown diamonds, in a shade called Chocolate Diamonds.

Godiva, on the other hand, is one of the best known chocolate brands. The newly presented jewelry collection is inspired by Godiva’s sweets with three chocolate inspired necklaces, set with brown and gold diamonds. For example, the Ganache Heart pendant features a heart pendant set with brown diamonds on a 14-karat yellow gold chain. The Strawberry and Chocolate Heart is another heart pendant, set in rose gold with rubies and brown diamonds: it is inspired by Godiva’s strawberry crème tarte. The Truffle pendant, on the other hand, is crafted to resemble Godiva’s milk chocolate truffle, but is composed of chocolate diamonds and nude diamonds (in lighter shades) set in 14-karat gold.

The five senses, but above all the palate, which celebrates the combination of chocolate and jewels. It is the original and creative idea of Doris Hangartner ♦ ︎

There are two things that make a woman happy: jewels and chocolate. Instead, there is only one woman who has decided to combine the two elements: Doris Hangartner. She has a very varied curriculum behind her: after graduating in Gemology at the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica (California), she worked for jewelry companies, in particular as a gemologist, but also dealt with antiques and vintage jewelry.

How she came up with the idea of combining chocolate and jewelry is not known. But the marriage is part of a broader philosophy of the brand, which is based in Zurich, Switzerland (not surprisingly the homeland of chocolate). Doris Hangartner’s goal, in fact, is to identify a person’s personality in order to find affinity with a gem. In short, a jewelry that involves the five senses. For example, peridot inspires smooth flavor of matcha (finely ground powder of green tea leaves, with the same color as the bud) combined with notes of jasmine and cedar surround the toasted almond in a special praline. Or a shocking but delicious splash of vodka, absinthe, peppermint and lime are the components of another praline, filled with liquid alcohol and dedicated to Paraiba tourmaline, the house specialty. Gem chocolates are handmade by a traditional Maison in Zurich (they are excellent, we can assure you). In short, each chocolate represents a gem: the imperial topaz (chocolate, honey, incense, orange and elderflower), red spinel (nougat, hot pepper and szechuan pepper, star anise, sesame and fleur de sel).

But, perhaps to prevent someone from eating a peridot or sniffing a garnet, you decided to evolve the idea. For example, combining essences and scented candles with jewels, to satisfy the olfactory buds. Without forgetting hearing, with Gem Dance, Let’s Tango, a ballet inspired by red spinel and tango music, created with internationally renowned dancers and choreographers such as Oleksandr and Sergiy Kirichenko and the Stradivari Quartett. Ah, yes, there are also jewels: after this premise, it is easy to understand that stones have a prominent role. They are lively, strong stones with personality. Used in jewelry thanks to the good and nice creative director of the Maison, Karen McGlashan.

Le Vian, at the Jck in Las Vegas, has decided to bring not only the jewels for which this USA-based fashion house is famous, namely those with chocolate diamonds (the company has even registered the Chocolate Diamonds brand), but also many rings (especially) that use stones like garnets, sapphires, emeralds. And not only. Alongside the classic rings with many gems, he has also decided to show unique pieces of the animalier genus.

Not everyone knows that Le Vian is one of the oldest jewelery companies in the world. The family, of Persian origin, has a history in jewelry dating back as far as 1400. In 1746, Nadir Shah, one of the most powerful rulers of Persia, chose a Le Vian to safeguard the collection of jewelry he had accumulated, including the famous diamond Kooh-i-Noor, which is now pinned on the crown of Queen Elizabeth. In short, of experience in jewelry, Le Vian has a lot of it and boasts about 100,000 original drawings in its archive.
