The initiative involves the creation of Oikos Pemba Green, a social enterprise that brings together 25 associations of local farmers, over half of whom are women, with the twin objectives of promoting social inclusion of women and encourage the production and protection of local vegetable varieties and bearing, thereby promoting food security in the area.
