Sooner or later it had to happen: even luxury jewelry, especially Chopard jewelry, has chosen the path of online sales on a site of a large-scale British retail chain. In fact, jewelry and watches from the Swiss fashion house can now be purchased through the website Selfridges.com. The site features more than 300 pieces of jewelry and watches. The prices of the items on sale, however, remain rather directed at the high end of the market: almost 100 euros for a key ring, and over 12,000 euros (10,150 pounds) for a pair of diamond earrings from the Chopard Happy collection, while a white gold ring with amethyst from the Imperiale collection can be purchased for around 1,800 euros (1,530 pounds). Customers can browse and purchase online, and then pick up in store. Chopard, in any case, is not the first to use Selfridges: Cartier already does so for jewelry, watches, accessories and perfumes.
