In Brazil discovered a new stone

In the jewelry world breaks a new stone that, immediately, was used in a necklace with pendant: is the metratonita. Don’t you never heard of it? It has been detected in Brazil, and used by designer Celso Dornelles to make a necklace with a pendant, “Dewdrop”. The stone was used together with white gold and sapphires. It is green in color and was discovered two years ago by Eduardo Loureiro, owner of a mine in the area of Rio Grande do Sul. Celso Dornelles is a lover of Brazilian stones and has already exhibited her jewels at the Louvre in Paris and the Expo ’98 in Lisbon. According to geologists, the stone is similar to clinochlore, but is of a different type. The name Metratonita comes from Metatron, considered Angel Supreme, Prince of the Seraphim. The Brazilian designer also has an Italian past: it has made a training at the State Mint. And in Rome he held a seminar on the creation of jewels, teaching the restoration of old pieces of jewelry. He then returned to Porto Alegre in 1995, where he founded and coordinates the Apdesign Jewelry Design Center. Rudy Serra
