The Maison presents the Bird on a Rock capsule collection: Love Birds by Tiffany, refined brooches and pendants.
Following the Bird on a Rock collection, inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s famous brooch, comes the Love Birds by Tiffany capsule collection. In this line, the birds take on different positions from the original jewel and become brooches or pendants offered in pairs. Several pairs of jewelry share the same gemstone, one cabochon-cut, the other faceted. For example, one of the pairs of Love Birds brooches features two exceptional rubellites: one with a central oval rubellite weighing over 36 carats, the other with a round cabochon rubellite weighing over 62 carats.

Together, they offer two distinct interpretations of the same extraordinary gemstone, demonstrating how a single stone can express multiple dimensions of color, shape, and character. Other pairings create a sense of poetic tension between different gemstone species, such as a morganite and a rubellite, a black opal and an orange topaz, or, in a striking combination, a gray moonstone and a pink tourmaline. This gray moonstone, distinguished by its exceptional clarity and intense adularescence, is beautifully showcased in a stunning bird brooch: its rarity is a testament to Tiffany & Co.’s ongoing commitment to acquiring legendary gems.

Love Birds are, in a sense, the descendants of the Bird on a Rock. They continue the legacy of this iconic bird, and that is precisely why they must remain unique. The gemstones that accompany Love Birds play a vital role in ensuring their uniqueness. Victoria Reynolds and I select them individually for their character, their beauty, their personality—because each one has a story unlike any other.

Another pair of Love Birds brooches features an almost 11-carat oval bicolor tourmaline, boasting a magnificent color-blocking of forest green and burgundy, juxtaposed with a nearly 34-carat cushion-cut pink tourmaline. These carefully crafted contrasts highlight the individual character of each gemstone while simultaneously suggesting a relationship of connection and tension. This approach honors the House’s legacy of artistry, inventiveness, and craftsmanship, values that inform every creation. Some pieces showcase exceptional Tiffany & Co. gemstones, such as kunzite, morganite, and tanzanite, paying homage to the House’s long history.
