Graff, a super pear in Paris

Let’s face it: for sure for diamonds, the size matters. And it knows Graff, Maison London with a passion for the most popular stones. Always collector of extraordinary pieces, Graff decided of showing one of this to the public to raise awareness of the new boutique opened in Paris. The diamond is called Graff Vendôme is a stone pear cut of 105.07 carats, quality D. Diamond celebrates the opening of its new store that is, indeed, in the Place Vendôme in Paris. The diamond has an interesting history: it was created from a 314 carat rough stone found in a Lesotho mine. First, the stone has been subjected to a computerized 3D mapping. Then, the master carvers of Graff studied for months the right cut, performed by laser, to move to the second phase of hand polishing. From the rough diamond another 12 pieces were then cut, the largest is 17.10 carats, classified the highest quality. In case you want to look closely at the beautiful pear (and expensive), Graff’s boutique on Place Vendôme is right next to the Ritz in Paris. Rudy Serra
