It’s called Splash and is a collection of glass jewelry. But not only: inside the crystal, which has the form of a volume of water that expands after being struck, they are concealed diamonds. The idea is to Beau Han Xu, a young designer who graduated in London at the Royal College of Art. The realization of these really strange jewelry is a secret: “Locate the process has occupied me for years and it took more than a hundred attempts to be able to improve it,” he explains. It is known, however, that the jewels of the collection Splash were created using the technique of pâte de verre”.
“Once the shape of the glass that simulates a liquid that squirts, the volume is filled with a liquid that allows at the stones inside to float and move. “I imagined the feeling of a splash of diamantie on bare skin. Thinking about the weight of the diamond I got to the invention of a new liquid container. A liquid that simulates the weight of a diamond, and allows the stones to swim under the glass, maximizing their reflections, to create a vibrant Splash”, says Han Xu. Federico Graglia
