Claudia Oddi, from Parma to the States to create super jewels in the spirit of luxury, New York and pop art ♦
Well, yes, also in Parma, far from Paris, Milan or New York can birth new jewelry like those of Claudia Oddi. But this is not the whole truth. Because the designer grew up in Manhattan. And the atmosphere of the Big Apple, especially the artistic environment, can be seen in his work. Echoes of the era of Pop Art, the search for new ways in which to present a jewel. On the other hand, the designer is the heir of a family of jewelers and then he learned quickly what it means jewellery. After the most filmed city in the world, Claudia Oddi went to Milan and then to Florence, where he learned what there is to learn in the field of jewelery. Curiously, but not too much, the tradition has been assimilated and stored in a drawer: the jewels of his three collections, of which we present the images, are as far removed there from the habit of the Italian goldsmith. The Equalizer collection, for example, is inspired by the bars that appear on the display of the music playback devices. The Pop collection, as its name indicates, is a tribute to Andy Warhol’s Factory and to Roy Lichtenstein. And Rainbow is a literal interpretation of the colors of the chromatic scale.
