Brazil is a country that is rich in two important elements for jewelry: gems and designers. One of the most innovative is Carla Abras, who has a degree in Industrial Design and a post-graduate degree in Jewelry Design from Minas Gerais State University. In short, right in the area where most of the mining sites of the great South American country are located.
For her innovative ability she received numerous awards, including the Swarovski American Facet Award Signity in the United States in 2001 and the following year the World Facet Award Signity in Italy, the Sanshim Diamonds Award 2003 in Korea, the Tahitian Pearl Trophy Brazil 2005 and 2007, Auditions Brazil 2008 and 2010 by AngloGold Ashanti and IBGM Jewelry Design 2010. In 2012, he won the Auditions Award for AngloGold Ashanti, the largest gold jewelery design competition in the world. In the same year, she won the Ibgm Design Award in the Differiated Lappings category.
