The legendary jewels of Alexander Reza are now also at the Hotel Ritz in Place Vendome, Paris, around the corner from her boutique: just a two port numbers later. And so the jeweler doubles the opportunity to meet his fans. It is an unusual choice, as it’s not every day that a banker turns into jeweler: usually the second is a customer of the first. Instead the story of Oliver Reza goes like this: worked at the highest level in one of the most exclusive investment banks, the french Lazard, in the New York office. But, it was 2008, Oliver’s father, the legendary Alexander Reza, jeweler with a high-end audience, became ill. The banker then decided to leave company acquisitions and mergers, to take care of the family business: the jewels, in fact. The banker, however, has retained the ability to rationally analyze the market: the stones of a certain type have become increasingly rare and it is increasingly difficult to create jewelry as it once was. We must focus, therefore, on the rarity, on the creation of small works of art. Few pieces, but precious, to an audience of fans (and wealthy). His greatest work, maybe, was the ability to continue the work of his father, a jeweler who has made a piece of luxurious history since 1950, the founding of Maison date. Its spiral jewels are still achievements of exceptional virtuosity goldsmith. Giulia Netrese
