300 masterpieces seen by Vogue

A century of jewelry seen by Vogue. Or, better, by the best photographers who have portrayed jewels masterpieces on the monthly magazine. The Britain’s bible of fashion (and accessories) has announced a new book that celebrates jewelry. The book is titled Vogue Jewellery, and does a history through images, with precious stones and gold jewelry made by master as David Bailey, Cecil Beaton, Corinne Day, Norman Parkinson, Irving Penn, Mario Testino and Bruce Weber. According to Carol Woolton, book’s author and editor of Vogue jewelery, “the book shows that the jewels were key to the history of fashion for the woman.” The book publish over 300 images. It is divided into five thematic chapters, which allowed to Woolton to explore the variety of ways in which jewelery was represented in Vogue and the evolution of the way he presents his collections. For those interested, the book costs 75 pounds.
