Die Fassung eines<strong> Diamanten auf einem Ring<\/strong> schien bis gestern etwas ohne allzu viele M\u00f6glichkeiten der Ver\u00e4nderung. Die am h\u00e4ufigsten verwendete Technik ist die mit den vier oder sechs Zinken, die den Diamanten noch auf dem kreisf\u00f6rmigen Metallband halten: der klassische Solit\u00e4r. Aber aus Neuseeland kommt eine Neuheit: der <strong>Floeting Diamond.<\/strong> Dies ist ein neues Diamantfassungssystem, das verspricht, die Helligkeit des Steins zu erh\u00f6hen und gleichzeitig das Schmuckst\u00fcck noch sicherer zu machen, wodurch das Risiko des Abl\u00f6sens des Steins geringer w\u00e4re. Floeting-Diamanten stammen aus einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften Diamantschleifereien der Welt, die vom Responsible Jewellery Council zertifiziert ist und ethisch einwandfreie Steine \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bverwendet. Die Floeting-Fassung stoppt die Raute in der Mitte, zwischen oben und unten, die in einem Punkt endet. Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Teil des Edelsteins bleibt daher \u00fcber der Fassung positioniert. Um den Stein stabil zu halten, werden direkt unter dem G\u00fcrtel lasergeschnittene Rillen in den Diamanten eingebracht. Da der Stein an vier Seiten offen ist, dringt mehr Licht in den Diamanten ein, was die Reflexionen verst\u00e4rkt. Diese Art der Fassung kann f\u00fcr Oval-, Smaragd-, Tropfen-Diamanten und auch andere Edelsteine \u200b\u200bverwendet werden.
