Grund f\u00fcr so viel Neugier ist der Preisanstieg, der in den letzten Monaten fast alle Rohstoffe, auch Metalle, betraf. Auch Gold, Silber und Platin waren von der Covid-19-Pandemie betroffen, die den Abbau und Verkauf monatelang teilweise bremste. Dann kam die Wirtschaft fast pl\u00f6tzlich wieder zusammen mit der Nachfrage nach Schmuck. So sind einige Preise stark gestiegen, aber auch gesunken. Kurz gesagt, es hat sich entleert, aber die Betreiber des Metallmarktes erwarten, dass der Preis wieder steigen wird. Die Ursache, so Branchenexperten, h\u00e4ngt mit der weltweiten Knappheit von Chips zusammen, den Prozessoren, die f\u00fcr Elektronik, aber auch f\u00fcr Autos oder Haushaltsger\u00e4te verwendet werden. Auf der anderen Seite war der Preis im letzten Jahr stark gestiegen und erreichte im Mai letzten Jahres 1.214. Die starke Nachfrage aus der Schmuckwelt (mit einem Nachfrageanstieg von 48%) k\u00f6nnte den Platinpreis jedoch auf hohem Niveau halten, wenn auch unter dem Rekordniveau. Gleicher Trend f\u00fcr Palladium und Rhodium. Palladium ist erstmals seit Mitte 2020 wieder unter die 2.000-Dollar-Marke gefallen, unter das Hoch von 3.000 Dollar, das es im Mai erreicht hatte. Und Experten sagen voraus, dass es seinen Abstieg fortsetzen wird. Auch Rhodium war von der Knappheit an Chips betroffen und sank gegen\u00fcber dem Niveau der Vormonate: Es stieg von 10.205 pro Unze im Februar 2020 auf 25.981 pro Unze im April.
