K\u00fcrzlich wurde dem Designer ein Buch gewidmet, das die Arbeit eines der einfallsreichsten und raffiniertesten K\u00fcnstler fotografiert. Zaavy war die dritte Generation einer Familie von Diamantenh\u00e4ndlern. Und der Vergleich ist kein Zufall: Eines seiner ber\u00fchmtesten St\u00fccke, das Nymph\u00e9as-Armband, wurde mit 5.000 Edelsteinen wie Diamanten und Saphiren hergestellt und ist von den Gem\u00e4lden des impressionistischen Malers Monet inspiriert. Er begann sein Gesch\u00e4ft zusammen mit seiner taiwanesischen Partnerin Lisa Chen, mit der Zaavy ein in Fernost t\u00e4tiges Maison gr\u00fcndete. Die Marke Faberg\u00e9 sicherte sich das Urheberrecht f\u00fcr 45 von Zaavys St\u00fccken sowie 55 weitere in Auftrag gegebene St\u00fccke: Juwelen, die haben hatte Bewertungen zwischen 40.000 und 7 Millionen Dollar.
