Der Designer hat eine Geschichte, die es wert ist, erz\u00e4hlt zu werden. Er wurde 1940 in Dassau in der DDR geboren. Schon in jungen Jahren entwickelte sich seine Begabung f\u00fcr Design an der ber\u00fchmten Bauhausschule. Mit 15 Jahren arbeitete er als Lehrling bei einem der f\u00fchrenden Goldschmiede in Dessau. Seine Spezialit\u00e4t sind einzigartige und ungew\u00f6hnliche St\u00fccke. In den fr\u00fchen 1970er Jahren wurden seine Entw\u00fcrfe von Op Art inspiriert, aber Hornemann verwendete auch Materialien ohne Schmuck wie antike M\u00fcnzen, byzantinische Kreuze, russische Ikonen und japanische Schwertteile. 1982 wurde er von Sir Anthony Oppenheimer in die Diamonds International Academy aufgenommen. Das Design des deutschen Designers wechselte von Schmuck zu Haushaltsgegenst\u00e4nden, Schalen und Kerzenleuchtern aus Silber und Eisen. Er arbeitet mit Edelsteinen und Gold, Silber, Platin, Bronze und Eisen, aber auch Corian oder Acryl. Die Motive von Flora und Fauna sind zentral, daher vereinfacht und abstrahiert er die nat\u00fcrlichen Formen und betont das Ornament.
