Der kostbare Diamant, der an einer Halskette befestigt ist, wird der Protagonist von <em>Tod auf dem Nil<\/em> sein, einem Film, der auf einem Thriller basiert, der 1937 von Agatha Christie geschrieben wurde. Er wird von Gal Gadot getragen, der die Figur von Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle spielt. Das Juwel spielt offensichtlich eine grundlegende Rolle in der Handlung des Films. In Wahrheit handelt das Buch von einer Perlenkette in der Mitte der Handlung, aber die Autoren haben beschlossen, die Perlen durch Tiffanys gelben Diamanten zu ersetzen. Es wurde aus einem 287,42 Karat gro\u00dfen Rohstein geschnitzt, der 1877 in der Kimberley-Mine in S\u00fcdafrika entdeckt wurde. Der Schneidprozess dauerte 12 Monate und wurde von George Frederick Kunz, dem damaligen Gemmologen von Tiffany, \u00fcberwacht. Als die Arbeit beendet war, beschloss der Gr\u00fcnder von Tiffany, Charles Lewis Tiffany, sie nicht zu verkaufen, sondern der \u00d6ffentlichkeit in einem Fenster des Maison zu zeigen.
