Die ersten geschnitzten Perlen von Galatea enthielten Diamanten, die in der Perlmuttkugel eingeschlossen waren. Aber dann erweiterte sich die Kunst des Schnitzens von Chi Huynh auf eine breite Palette von Interventionen und umfasste Schmuck mit schwarzen Tahiti-Perlen sowie goldene S\u00fcdsee- oder S\u00fc\u00dfwasserperlen. Die Perle wird zuerst von Hand nachgezeichnet und geformt und dann poliert, um die Oberfl\u00e4che zu gl\u00e4tten.
