Der <strong>Tanz<\/strong> war M\u00e4dchen und Jungen aus reichen und <strong>aristokratischen Familien vorbehalten<\/strong>. Die Deb\u00fctantinnen verneigten sich vor der K\u00f6nigin (in Gro\u00dfbritannien), sie trugen wei\u00dfe Kleidung, Handschuhe und Diademe. Diese Tradition ist seit vielen Jahren in Vergessenheit geraten, um Ende der 1980er Jahre wieder in Mode zu kommen. Das Problem ist, dass die M\u00e4dchen jetzt keine 18 Jahre auf Partys und Wohnzimmer warten. Die Ankunft von sozialen Netzwerken wie Facebook oder Instagram hat die Sozialit\u00e4t ebenfalls zu einem universellen Ph\u00e4nomen gemacht. Wozu also tanzt heute ein (fast) Deb\u00fctant? Es ist ein Tanzabend, der dar\u00fcber hinaus Spenden f\u00fcr wohlt\u00e4tige Zwecke sammeln soll. Und da die M\u00e4dchen gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils an Partys und gesellschaftlichen Veranstaltungen teilgenommen haben, ist das eigentliche Deb\u00fct von Le Bal das der Medien, einschlie\u00dflich Fotos, die in Klatschmagazinen und auf spezialisierten Websites ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurden. Nun, f\u00fcr 2019 war der Inder Harakh Mehta der offizielle Juwelier der Veranstaltung, die im Shangri-La Hotel in Paris organisiert wurde. Sein Haus, Harakh, ein Wort, das Freude bedeutet, hat hohen Schmuck mit Diamanten im Birnenschliff versehen.
