Er war ein vielseitiger Designer und au\u00dferhalb des kommerziellen Kreises: Er produzierte weniger als 40 St\u00fccke pro Jahr. Wie viele Amerikaner hat auch Terry Castro ganz unten angefangen. Bevor er eine Schmuckwerkstatt in Manhattan er\u00f6ffnete, verkaufte er seine Schmuckst\u00fccke auf den B\u00fcrgersteigen von Soho, New York. Und er verwendete oft zuf\u00e4llig gefundene Materialien. Aber aus dieser Erfahrung lernte der Designer, Steine, Metalle und verschiedene Elemente zusammenzusetzen, um seine Juwelen zu kreieren: Leder, Diamanten, Silber, Gold, Knochen.
