Indiana, geboren in einer Familie, die tief in der Modebranche verwurzelt ist, studierte Ananya Malhotra die Welt des Schmucks in London, wo sie an der Gia Central Saint Martins, aber auch in den USA, ihren Abschluss machte. Die Studien in London machen deutlich, warum ihre Juwelen nicht nur zur h\u00f6chsten Kategorie geh\u00f6ren, sondern auch in einem Stil gestaltet sind, der indische Handwerkskunst mit westlichem Geschmack feiert. Reichlich, aber nicht opulent. Sie wurde auch von Swarovski ausgew\u00e4hlt, um ein St\u00fcck f\u00fcr die Modenschau Runway Rocks zu entwerfen. Und bevor sie mit ihrer Maison, Ananya, deb\u00fctierte, arbeitete die Designerin f\u00fcr einen der gr\u00f6\u00dften Juweliere Indiens, Amrapali. Inspiriert sei sie vom Jugendstil und dem Surrealismus, einer Bildstr\u00f6mung, die sie auch durch ihr Psychologiestudium fasziniere. Eine ihrer neuesten Arbeiten ist die anpassbare Chakra-Kollektion.
