Jean-Baptiste Mellerio (1765-1850) er\u00f6ffnete 1777 eine Werkstatt in Versailles, in der der Hof des K\u00f6nigs von Frankreich residierte. 1796 er\u00f6ffnete die Familie Mellerio auch ein Gesch\u00e4ft in der Rue Vivienne, ebenfalls in Versailles. Meisterwerke der Goldschmiedekunst sind in den Schmuckb\u00fcchern vermerkt, wie ein Armband mit einem von K\u00f6nigin Marie Antoinette gekauften Cameo und Rubin, das von Napoleons Schwester gekaufte Diadem oder die 1888 vom K\u00f6nig von bestellte Tiara mit Rubin die Niederlande und Zeitschrift von vor kurzem w\u00e4hrend einer niederl\u00e4ndischen k\u00f6niglichen Hochzeit im Jahr 2004. Oder eine Brosche, die einen Pfau darstellt, mit einem goldenen Schnabel und Wellen von Diamantfedern, hergestellt im fr\u00fchen zwanzigsten Jahrhundert f\u00fcr einen indischen Maraj\u00e0. Jetzt feiert das historische Haus vier Jahrhunderte Aktivit\u00e4t.
