Das Mogulreich bestand von 1526 bis 1857. Sein Gr\u00fcnder war Babur der Eroberer: Er war ein Nachkomme des gro\u00dfen t\u00fcrkisch-mongolischen Generals Tamerlan, und bevor er in Indien ankam, regierte er eine Stadt im heutigen Usbekistan.<br \/>\nVon den Mughals sind die alten Pal\u00e4ste geblieben, Geb\u00e4ude wie das ber\u00fchmte Taj Mahal, aber auch viele Juwelen, die von Sammlern sehr gesucht werden. Am 19. Juni wird eine Auswahl dieser Juwelen in New York in einer au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen Auktion von Christie&#8217;s verkauft: Maharajas und Mughal Magnificence. Juwelen, die Geschichte geschrieben haben, Unikate, die vor fast 500 Jahren entstanden sind, zur Zeit des ersten Teils der Mogul-Dynastie. Die Sammlung umfasst fast 400 Objekte aus Gold, Diamanten, Saphiren, Smaragden, Rubinen. Jahrhundert geschaffen wurde. Die Sammlung umfasst auch au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Diamanten, darunter den Mirror of Paradise Diamond und den Arcot II Diamond. Beide stammen aus der Golconda-Mine, der \u00e4ltesten Diamantenmine, die der Mensch kennt. Der Arcot Diamond ist ein birnenf\u00f6rmiger Stein mit einem Brillantschliff von 17,21 Karat. Es ist einer von zwei \u00e4hnlichen Diamanten, die aus dem Nawab von Arcot an K\u00f6nigin Charlotte (1744-1818), die Frau von K\u00f6nig George III, geschickt wurden. Die Diamanten wurden sp\u00e4ter vom Marquis of Westminster auf einer Auktion gekauft und dann in der Tiara von Westminster montiert, die bei der Kr\u00f6nung von K\u00f6nigin Elizabeth II. Getragen wurde.<br \/>\nEin weiteres bemerkenswertes St\u00fcck: Die Halskette Nizam von Hyderabad (von der Mitte bis zum Ende des 19. Der Juwelier reiste h\u00e4ufig nach Indien und traf sich regelm\u00e4\u00dfig mit den K\u00f6nigsfamilien, mit denen er enge Beziehungen pflegte. Viele von Cartiers sch\u00f6nsten Juwelen dieser Zeit wurden von der indischen Architektur, Edelsteinen und Juwelen inspiriert. Ein Beispiel ist eine pr\u00e4chtige Platin-G\u00fcrtelbrosche aus dem Jahr 1922 mit Diamanten, Smaragden und Saphiren. Dieses St\u00fcck war Teil der Sammlung von Sybil Sassoon, Marquess of Cholmondeley und der Tochter von Sir Edward Sassoon und der Baronin Aline de Rothschild.
