Ein synthetischer Diamant wurde daher als farblos, nahezu farblos, schwach, sehr leicht und hell eingestuft. Stattdessen gehen wir nun zu den 13 Kategorien \u00fcber, die f\u00fcr nat\u00fcrliche Diamanten verwendet werden, von D (die farbloseste) bis M plus NO, PR und SZ. Das Gleiche gilt f\u00fcr die Klarheit: Sie reicht von f\u00fcnf Grad bis zu zehn Grad, die bei nat\u00fcrlichen Diamanten angewendet werden.<br \/>\nDie Wahl des belgischen Instituts stellt eine neue Etappe der Auseinandersetzung dar, die die Klassifizierung von Diamanten im Labor betrifft. So hat beispielsweise das Gemological Institute of America, Gia, bisher eine eingeschr\u00e4nkte Bewertungsskala verwendet, die die Kanonik von 4C nicht ber\u00fccksichtigt, da die Mischung aus der chemischen Zusammensetzung von Naturstein etwas anders ist. Es wird jedoch auch eine Ver\u00e4nderung in naher Zukunft untersucht.
