Im Rennen gibt es drei Kandidaten f\u00fcr jede der sieben der acht Kategorien. Eine schwierige Auswahl, da die Bewerbungsunterlagen 140 waren, ein Rekord. Die Einf\u00fchrung einer neuen Kategorie hat ebenfalls zum Erfolg beigetragen: Design Newcomer of the Year, das offenbar das Interesse einiger Aussteller geweckt hat, darunter ein Juweliergesch\u00e4ft auf Mauritius, die Inseln im Indischen Ozean.<br \/>\nIn der Kategorie Fine Jewelry wurden beispielsweise die deutschen Hersteller Gellner und Hans D. Krieger sowie die spanische Marke Facet Barcelona ausgew\u00e4hlt, w\u00e4hrend f\u00fcr die Kategorie Design Newcomer of the Year die Marken Alessa Joosten, Karin Heimberg und Gitta Geschm\u00fcck ausgew\u00e4hlt wurden.
