Der Ring wurde jedoch bei der letzten von Christie&#8217;s in New York organisierten Auktion im Dezember verkauft. Vielleicht hat die Weihnachtsatmosph\u00e4re die K\u00e4ufer getrieben: Der Gesamtumsatz lag bei \u00fcber 69 Millionen Dollar. Sie sind praktisch zwei Riesen, die in Kanada von Rio Tinto abgebaut werden, und sie wurden f\u00fcr 1,5 Millionen verkauft. Die Farbe eines weiteren Diamanten mit 8 Karat-Ovalschliff, der auf einem Ring montiert ist, ist ebenfalls gelb. Sie wurde 1925 von Gillot &amp; Co hergestellt und f\u00fcr 1,3 Millionen verkauft.
