Sein Studium umfasste Glasmacherei, Bildhauerei, Radierung und Grafik. Doch dann spezialisierte er sich auf Schmuckdesign. Sein Vater war Architekt und er erbte eine geometrische Pr\u00e4zision in der Komposition von Juwelen. Als er nach New York zog, brachte er die Leidenschaft f\u00fcr gotische Kunst und die Pr\u00e4zision des mechanischen Konstrukteurs mit.
