Ein Gericht im Oktober 2016 verurteilte Costco zu zahlen $ 5,5 Millionen in Entsch\u00e4digung und 8,25 Millionen in Strafschaden. Nicht gl\u00fccklich, hatte Costco appelliert. Jetzt kommt die endg\u00fcltige Entscheidung, noch schwerer: Costco muss einen noch gr\u00f6\u00dferen Betrag bezahlen: 19,4 Millionen Dollar f\u00fcr die Verletzung der Marke Tiffany &amp; Co und die Entsch\u00e4digung wurde auf 11,1 Millionen erh\u00f6ht. Ein strenges Urteil, angesichts des Preises zu zahlen, ist dem materiellen Schaden weit \u00fcberlegen, aber es dient als Warnung f\u00fcr diejenigen, die Marken verf\u00e4lschen.
