Die Auktion von Rockefeller Smaragd in New York findet am 20. Juni statt. Der Smaragdring wird bei $ 4 und $ 6 Millionen Dollar gesch\u00e4tzt und wurde von einem John D. Rockefeller, Jr. besessen, der ihn 1930 kaufte.<br \/>\nDer Stein wurde jedoch in die Mitte einer Brosche gesetzt und an seine Frau Abby Aldrich gespendet. Der gr\u00fcne Stein mit einem Gewicht von 18.04 Karat, wurde 1948 von seinem j\u00fcngsten Sohn David Rockefeller geerbt, der es dem Juwelier Raymond Yard f\u00fcr einen neuen Rahmen gab. In Platinring mit Diamanten verwandelt, wurde das Juwel sp\u00e4ter an einen bedeutenden amerikanischen Sammler verkauft, der es vor mehr als einem Jahrzehnt erwarb.
