Die Gr\u00fcnderin des Maison, Azza Fahmy, ist eine Designerin, eine ungew\u00f6hnliche Rolle in \u00c4gypten: Sie war die erste, die im \u00e4gyptischen Schmuckviertel Khan El Khalili praktizierte. Stoffe, Juwelen, Architektur, aber auch die rituellen Zeichen, die Afrikaner auf ihren K\u00f6rper malen, sind einer der Gr\u00fcnde, die die Juwelen inspirieren, mit der Idee, den Geist der Vergangenheit neu zu interpretieren und die Essenz der Traditionen in Ohrringe und Armb\u00e4nder zu \u00fcbersetzen. Wahrscheinlich h\u00e4tten die Frauen der afrikanischen St\u00e4mme nie geahnt, dass die gro\u00dfen Ohrringe, die an besonderen Tagen in den H\u00fctten der nubischen D\u00f6rfer Mali oder der Masai verwendet wurden, in Designerschmuck verwandelt werden k\u00f6nnten, mit einer Halskette, die Perlen mit Jade, Bernstein mischt. Karneol, T\u00fcrkis. Eine weitere Inspirationsquelle sind die dekorativen Motive antiker Denkm\u00e4ler. Vor einiger Zeit schuf Azza Fahmy auch eine Sammlung ma\u00dfgeschneiderter Kapselschmuckst\u00fccke f\u00fcr das British Museum in London. Amina Ghali, Designleiterin und Tochter von Azza Fahmy, \u00fcbernahm die Aufgabe, die von alten franz\u00f6sischen M\u00fcnzen und Taschenuhren inspirierte Kollektion mit handgefertigten 18-Karat-Goldelementen zu kreieren. Die Kollektion besteht aus Halsketten und einem Paar Ohrringen. Die M\u00fcnzanh\u00e4nger zeigen das Kreuz und die arabische Kalligraphie mit den Worten &#8222;Gott ist einer&#8220;.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_86565\"
