Das teilte Miner Petra Diamonds mit: Die Gruppe gab an, den Diamanten in ihrer Cullinan-Mine gefunden zu haben. Nach der Ank\u00fcndigung stiegen die Aktien der Gruppe um 5 %. Blaue Diamanten sind sehr selten, aber die Cullinan-Mine hat bereits andere hervorgebracht, darunter einen ph\u00e4nomenalen 26,6-Karat-Edelstein, aus dem ein perfekter 7-Karat-Stein hergestellt wurde, der im Mai 2009 f\u00fcr 9,49 Millionen US-Dollar verkauft wurde.
