Da die Dornenkrone mit dem Evangeliumsbericht verbunden ist, der die letzten Taten im Leben Jesu beschreibt, ist sie ein h\u00f6chst symbolischer Gegenstand. Die Krone wurde \u00fcber einen Zeitraum von zehn Monaten von Tiffanys Handwerkern in New York gefertigt. Lamar trug die Krone bei seinem Auftritt als Headliner in Glastonbury am 26. Jeder Diamant wurde von Hand gesetzt und auch die Krappen wurden von Hand gefertigt. Typischerweise werden die Zinken an Ort und Stelle gegossen. Wahrscheinlich eines der bekanntesten Symbole der religi\u00f6sen Ikonographie, das Tiffany als \u201eMetapher f\u00fcr Kunstfertigkeit, Demut und Ausdauer\u201c beschreibt. Neben dem religi\u00f6sen Bezug lie\u00dfen sich die K\u00fcnstler auch von der ikonischen Thorns-Brosche von Jean Schlumberger inspirieren, die der legend\u00e4re Designer 1947 kreierte, bevor er 1956 zu Tiffany &amp; Co kam. In diesem Fall fehlt jedoch jeder religi\u00f6se Bezug.
