After starting the cultivation of pearls, the Autore brand has also evolved as a jewelry manufacturer, with a proposal for collections that are not confined to the classic necklaces with a string of pearls, or to simple clip earrings, but also range to high jewelry.

Born in southern Italy, Rosario Autore learned the secrets of pearl trading and cultivation in Tokyo before moving to Australia at the age of 26. In Broome, Australia’s pearl cultivation capital, where he stopped and, thanks to that famous pasta dinner, he convinced some local producers to sell him pearls.

This is how the company’s history began in 2005. Now Autore owns and manages seven factories off the coasts of Australia and Indonesia. Each year it collects 300,000 pearls. He has also developed his own system of cataloging and evaluating pearls. To be precise, however, we must add that the pearls used by Autore are not always perfectly round. On the contrary, the Italian-Australian jeweler uses baroque pearls for high-end pieces. Around their irregular shape creates the jewel. A model used, for example, in the Oceania collection, where baroque pearls are transformed into fish from tropical seas.
In Las Vegas, however, Autore won the Best in Pearls award with a necklace from South Sea pearls inspired by a completely different subject: a Chinese dragon. The recognition as Best in Bridal was awarded to the American New York Eva Fehren, with a diamond ring that all the promised brides would like to receive. So much so that the designer does not want to sell it. From Cleveland, however, comes Heather B. Moore, winner of the Best in Silver award with a curious bracelet adorned with elephants. A gem against poaching, she said. Instead, she is the winner of the Best in Color Gemstones Under 20K $, Ann Korman, designer of Ark Fine Jewelry, with her earrings in opal and moonstone. The Best in Platinum has crossed the Pacific Ocean and landed in Japan, home of the Kuwayama brand, for a necklace composed of effervescent bubbles.
Other winners: Best in Colored, award for the best colored gemstones over 20,000 dollars, was won by the Indian Amrapali Jewels for a brooch with 50-carat emerald and one of the diamonds with “lotus cut”. Best in Diamonds Below $ 20K went to Studio Rêves for a pair of earrings, while the Best in Diamonds over $ 20K was won by Mike Joseph with an impressive cascade necklace.
