A pink diamond at auction sold to 700,000 Euros by Bolaffi in Milan.
The great season of jewelry auctions now traveling at full speed. To the list is also added Bolaffi, company specialized in stamps collections in the sixties and after expanded its reach also to the jewelry. Result: at its sale of jewels and watches organized in Milano (we talked about here) the rare natural diamond Very light pink (lot 1381) was awarded to 700.000 euro, including rights, by a major European jeweler, present in the room at the Grand hotel et de Milan, after a close battle to the upside with other international bidders on the phone and on the internet. The ring thus became the top lot ever in the history of Bolaffi. A sign that not only in Geneva, Hong Kong and New York is fought to the sound of raises to clinch interesting pieces. “The satisfaction is twofold, both for the sensational figure reached by the single piece, both because our auction house managed to sell in Italy, and with an outstanding result, an object usually offered only abroad”, is the comment of the Ceo, Filippo Bolaffi.
The total realization of the sale of nearly 2 million and a half euro. The second top lot was a ring with teardrop diamond color D and purity of VVS1 (lot 1379), flew to € 225,000, more than double the original estimate. Among others achieve outstanding are reported diamond ring those with more than 18 carats (lot 1376) sold for 218,750 euro and Burmese ruby ring with no signs of warming of five carats (lot 1378) purchased 62,500 Euros.
